Dear readers of Sport&Beauty. Today’s installment is dedicated to one of my favorite models. Our guest is German and although she’s one of the renowned Victoria’s Secret angels she’s not as famous as other German models like Claudia Schiffer or Heidi Klum. She has walked for Gucci, Versace, and Valentino and landed the cover of some of the world’s most prestigious magazines such as “Elle”, “Vogue” and “Harper’s Bazaar”. Do you already know who she is? Bingo. Today’s post is dedicated to the beautiful German model Julia Stegner. Here you are Julia Stegner, a real stunner.

Our new friend Julia was born on November 2, 1984 in Munich, Germany. His father worked for an American multinational as the sales manager for Central Europe and her mother was an accountant. Julia was brought up within an animal-caring family composed of her parents, her older sister and some dogs. She started in the fashion world at a very young age and was a child model for seven years appearing in a number of advertisements and kidswear catalogues. Besides her work as a child model, she studied ballet for nine years.

While studying at High School Julia discovered her passion for basketball and joined a team in her hometown. It’s obvious that being 180 centimetres tall she was naturally gifted for this sport. Just before turning fifteen the German model was discovered by a talent scout while eating a hotdog at Munchen’s Oktoberfest. The scout saw her and immediately got impressed by the beauty of that young girl. Julia was first signed by Tilla Linding a clothing company based in Munich and London and, although the model had planned to study accountancy after finishing High School, she moved to Paris to try her luck as a professional model. Soon after arriving in Paris, Julia first landed on the cover of the prestigious fashion magazine “Elle”. Eventually, the German model was signed by Supreme Management and in less than four months she opened Yves Saint Laurent’s 2003 Spring fashion show, starred in Strenesse and Sportmax’s ad campaigns and landed on the covers of “Vogue” France, Italy, Japan and Germany.

By the summer of 2004 Julia had already starred in ad campaigns for Celine, Yves Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, and Dior. She has also worked for Hugo Boss and in 2005 she starred in Chloé’s ad campaign and walked for Anna Sui, Lanvin, Gucci, Versace, and Valentino. As you can see she was in really high demand at that time and joined Victoria’s Secret heaven participating in 2005, 2006, and 2007 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Unlike other fashion models supportive of PETA organization, Julia has participated in a number of advertisements and fashion shows wearing fur clothes. She also appeared in a number of calendars such as Pirelli’s in 2005 and in 2007 became the image of Aquascutum, Guerlain, KissKiss, Hugo Boss Eyewear and Hugo Boss fragrance “Femme”.

In 2008 Julia became the image of Tod’s and Armani Jeans and starred in some TV commercials for Maybelline. In February, April, and May she appeared in several editorials for “Harper’s Bazaar” and in March landed on the pages of “Vogue” Italy. At the same time she was photographed by Steven Meisel for Gianfranco Ferré’s ad campaign together with Malgosia Bela. In August Julia left Women Management New York and signed for IMG and in September she walked in New York, Milan, and Paris for rag & bone, Gucci, and Givenchy’s 2009 spring fashion shows. In November she landed on the covers of “Elle” France, “Vogue” Spain, and “Numéro” Japan and participated in the greatest show on Earth, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Finally in December she added the cover of “Vogue” Germany to her résumé.

In January 2009 the German model appeared in an editorial of “i-D” featured to Alexander Wang and walked in Paris for Givenchy 2009 couture Spring fashion show. In February she traveled to New York to walk for Alexander Wang and rag & bone’s Fall shows, in March was featured again on the pages of “Vogue” Italy, and in May reappeared in “Vogue” together with boyfriend Steven Pan. During the following months she kept on appearing in fashion magazines: “Vogue” Germany (July), “Vogue” France (September), and “Vogue” (October). In November she participated in the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and finished that year appearing on the cover of “Vogue” Spain. In 2011 Julia appeared on the cover of “Tush” and participated in H&M’s summer ad campaign. In August she visited the pages of “Dazed & Confused” and at the end of the year appeared in the winter issue of “Muse” and an editorial of “Vogue”. Finally in February 2011 Julia closed in New York Proenza Schouler’s fall fashion show and in May she landed again on the cover of “Vogue” Germany. Out of curiosity we’ll say that she always goes to work by bicycle. Dwight David Howard (born December 8, 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American basketball player for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Howard, who usually plays center but can also play power forward, had an outstanding high school career. He chose to forgo college and entered the 2004 NBA Draft. He was selected first overall by the Magic, and has since emerged as one of the top rebounders and players in the NBA. A two-time NBA All-Star and All-NBA member and one-time NBA All-Defensive member, he has been ranked consistently as one of the best in the league in field goal percentage. In the 2008 Olympics, he was the starting center for Team USA which went on to win the gold medal. Howard's overall play and his spectacular dunks have gained him prominence as one of the brightest young prospects in the NBA and the team leader of the Magic. Additionally, Howard, the winner of the NBA 2008 Slam Dunk Contest, is a devout Christian who contributes substantially to philanthropic causes.
Howard was born to Dwight Sr. and Sheryl Howard and into a family with strong athletic connections. His father is a Georgia state trooper and serves as Athletic Director of Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, a private academy with one of the best high school basketball programs in the country, while his mother played on the inaugural women's basketball team at Morris Brown College. A devout Christian since his youth, Howard became serious about basketball around the age of nine; in eighth grade, he resolved to be selected as the number one pick in the NBA Draft one day. Despite his large frame, Howard was quick and versatile enough to play the guard position. He elected to attend Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy for high school, and in his four years he played mostly as power forward, averaging 16.6 points per game (ppg), 13.4 rebounds per game (rpg) and 6.3 blocks per game in 129 appearances. As a senior, Howard led his team to the 2004 state title. He averaged 25 points, 18 rebounds, 8 blocks and 3.5 assists per game. That same year, Howard was widely recognized as the best American high school basketball player, and he was awarded the Naismith Prep Player of the Year Award, the Morgan Wootten High School Player of the Year Award, Gatorade National Player of the Year and the McDonald's National High School Player of the Year honor. RUSSIAN MODEL MASHA NOVOSELOVA

Dear readers of Sport & Beauty. There is no doubt that Russian models are amongst the undisputed queens in the world of fashion and beauty. So much so that today we’re traveling to Eastern Europe to meet one of these beauties, Russian model Masha Novoselova. Despite her youth, Masha has already trudged the catwalk for some of the world’s best fashion labels such as Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, La Perla, Stella McCartney, Miss Sixty, DSquared2, and Moschino, starred in ad campaigns for Christian Lacroix, Ungaro Homme, See by Chloé, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, Loewe, Miss Sixty, H&M, and Benetton and appeared in the cover of some of the most prestigious fashion magazines like “Elle”, “Flair”, “Marie Claire”, “Harper’s Bazaar”, and “Vogue”. Dear friends, here you are gorgeous Russian model Masha Novoselova.

I think we should start from the beginning. Our new friend Masha was born in 1985 in the Russian city of Tula. Her promising modeling career started in 2006 after signing for Storm Agency London. Soon after she would appear in an editorial of “Vogue” France (November 2006) and In February 2007 she was considered by Models.com as one of the year’s top ten newcomers. April 2007 started jam packed of events for her as she appeared in an editorial of “Elle” Italy, posed lying on a bed for Ungaro Homme’s spring ad campaign, and was photographed by Terry Richardson for Christian Lacroix’s ad campaign. In June the Russian model landed on the cover of “L’Officiel” and in July she appeared on the cover of “Numéro” (together with Brazilian model Caroline Trentini and dressed in a biker outfit), sported some tiny swimsuits in an editorial of “L’Officiel”, and was photographed by Mario Sorrenti for an editorial of “V” magazine.

In September 2007 Masha visited New York’s catwalks to open and close Ruffian’s Spring fashion show and close Behnaz Sarafpour’s one. Besides this catwalk appearance, she was also photographed by Ines Van Lamsweerde for “See by Chloé” campaign (where she replaced Denisa Dvorakova) and starred in Malo’s fall ad campaign. At the beginning of that year, Masha was photographed by the famous fashion photographer Mario Testino for Dolce & Gabbana and Hugo Boss’ ad campaigns and became one of Loewe’s spokespersons. In February she traveled to New York, Paris, and Milan to walk for 3.1 phillip lim, Gucci, La Perla, and Stella McCartney’s Fall fashion shows. During the next months Masha would appear again in a number of magazine articles and covers: “Numero” and “Vogue” Italy (March), “Harper’s Bazaar” (April), “Vogue beauty” Japan and “Vogue” Russia (May) and “MUSE” (June). In July she landed the cover of “Harper’s Bazaar” and became the image of Miss Sixty’s fall ad campaign. In September she reappeared in “Harper’s Bazaar”, participated in the making of H&M’s catalogue and opened Behnaz Sarafpour and VPL’s spring fashion shows in New York. Finally at the end of the year she went back to “Vogue” Russia (October and December) and “V” magazine.

Throughout the year she also starred in ad campaigns for Dior addict 2, Patrizia Pepe, Nina Ricci, La Perla, Swarovski, and Sisley.

In March 2010 the model reappeared in an editorial for “Vogue” Spain and in April and May she landed the cover and pages of “Marie Claire” Italy. Throughout the year she also appeared in “Elle” UK and “Vogue” Spain and walked for a number of fashion labels like D&G, Dolce & Gabbana, Enrico Coveri, and Ermanno Scervino starring in ad campaigns for Trussardi, Andrew Marc, Sarar (together with German model Lars Bursmeister), Seven For All Mankind, Patrizia Pepe, and Garnier. In 2011 she has walked for Escada and Escada Sport and starred in ad campaigns for Tru Trussardi or Vince Camuto. Out of curiosity we will say that the Russian model is a close friend of fellow models Caroline Trentini, Ekaterina Kiseleva, and Sheila Marquez. What does Masa like to do in her leisure time? She seems to like dancing, writing poems, water skiing, and reading books about the Tibet.
