GOTTEX 2010 SWIMWEAR COLLECTION

Dear readers of sportandbeauty. Today we’re going to dedicate our post to swimwear fashion. We are going to talk about 2010 Gottex Spring Summer swimwear collection in our characteristic carefree style. As you probably know Gottex is a top swimwear fashion manufacturer. Gottex was founded by Lea and Armin Gottlieb in Hungary operating originally as a raincoat factory. When the Gottliebs moved to the warm Israel they decided to transform their business and started to produce swimsuits pioneering the manufacturing of swimwear. After selling her wedding ring to get some money, Lea Gottlieb bought some cloth, borrowed a sewing machine and got to work in different designs inspired by the light and the color contrast of Israel, the golden yellow from the desert, the blue from Lake Tiberias, the pink stones of Jerusalem and Galilea’s different green tones. In 1997 Gottex was purchased by the Africa-Israel investments holding and currently its swimwear collections are designed by British designer Molly Grad.

Molly Grad was Gianfranco Ferre's senior designer, the perfect springboard for her move to Gottex. Her amazing career started in London’s Central Martins Arts and Design School where she graduated. After finishing her studies, Molly Grad went on to work for Stella McCartney, Stefano Pilati e Yves Saint Laurent. No doubt her impressive resume is more than enough for her debut presenting the creations of Gottex 2010 Spring Summer swimwear fashion, a collection that stands out for her classy and sophisticated style. Molly claimed that to design this collection she was inspired by the feminine body and also by trying to find out the way to turn swimwear into high level fashion. I can assure you that she achieved her goal. I really like Gottex swimwear fashion for this Summer. Anyway, let’s check the result.

The swimsuits and bikini swimsuits Gottex has prepared for the 2010 Spring Summer season are cut in such a way that highlight the feminine body in a beautiful manner. Gottex models are not the epitome of the ubiquitous super-skinny models. They are curvy and confident. What I like most about Gottex collection are the high hips that lengthen the women's legs creating the sensation they never end. Have a look to the wonderful legs these models have. Thanks to Gottex swimwear they look longer than they really are. If you don’t believe me pay close attention to the model portrayed to the left of the first picture.

Gottex swimwear color palette is quite comprehensive. We can choose between white, black, bright blue, red, yellow ,and golden swimsuits. Personally I think the white ones are the nicest. They highlight the models’ endless legs and fit like a glove to the feminine body. Besides white swimsuits we also have to mention the red ones Gottex has prepared for 2010 Spring Summer season. My favorite is a trikini swimsuit. Finally in the picture you can see different designs matched with blue shirts tied to the waist or cinched with a belt.

Let's take a brief look at the yellow swimsuits. I have selected a couple of two-piece yellow swimsuits (first picture). I really love the one to the right. With its transparent yellow front it looks like a two-color trikini swimsuit rather than a two-piece bikini. Between the golden swimsuits (second and third picture), I will highlight those combined with ornaments such as sequins, shirts, blouses, belts and bracelets.

We'll finish this review having a look at Gottex black swimwear.  The picture shows three different one-piece black sequined swimsuits. I like the one to the right with its transparent plastic strip over the navel. It can also be noticed that each of the models wore a bathing cap or a scarf matching her swimsuit. In spite of the fact that we are entering the final stages of 2010 World Cup we got some time to visit one of our favourite countries and get acquainted with one of the members of the new breed of Czech models, Linda Vojtova. Linda is not as famous as fellow Czech models Karolina Kurkova or Petra Nemcova but, believe me, it's only a matter of time.
