ANNA JAGODZINSKA POLISH TOP MODEL

Dear readers of sport&beauty. Do you remember Dolce Gabbana’s Light Blue TV commercial a couple of years ago? A sun-tanned hunky guy (David Gandy), a gorgeous gal lying in a dinghy (Marija Vujovic) and a romantic Italian melody? This year Light Blue has launched its new TV commercial. David Gandy is the male model again, the romantic Italian music hasn’t changed but there is no longer a dinghy and Maria Vujovic has disappeared from the scene. Of course, there is also a girl that gets out of the water in a tiny white bikini swimsuit and kisses David passionately. She’s the Polish top model Anna Jagodzinska and she’s, at least, as gorgeous as Maria. Anna Jagodzinska is not a newcomer in the fashion world. She has starred in some controversial ads for Calvin Klein jeans, advertised DKNY lingerie and appeared in fashion magazines such as Vogue Italy, Australia and Germany, Numéro, L’Officiel and the French “Revue des Modes”. You can see that Anna Jagodzinska’s résumé is not any résumé. Here you are Polish model Anna Jagodzinska, a real stunner and the new female face of Dolce Gabbana’s Light Blue fragrance.

Endowed with classic beauty, Anna Jagodzinska started to work as a professional model in 2003 when she signed a contract with Next Model Management. Next Model set Anna to work immediately and by the end of that year the Polish model had already made her debut walking for Pringle of Scotland’s Fall fashion show, walked the runway in New York and Milan for DKNY and Marc by Marc Jacobs, and moved and settled in New York. Anna’s breakthrough was in 2004 when she was hired to walk in Paris and Milan for the Fall fashion shows of such important fashion houses as Burberry, Marni, Prada, Alexander McQueen, and Chanel. Her success turned Anna into one of the youngest and most promising models in the fashion world which earned her some editorials in Vogue Italy, W and i-D. Besides, she also signed a series of juicy contracts to become the face of BCBG Max Azria, Moschino Cheap & Chic, Moschino Funny, and Pollini. 2005 was also a productive year for the Polish stunner. Anna walked for more than 50 of the world’s most prestigious fashion designers including Max Azria, Christian Dior, Jil Sander, Jill Stuart, John Galliano, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Diane von Furstenberg, and Jeffrey Chow and made it to the cover of Vogue Australia, L’Officiel and the French “Revue des Modes”.

2006 started in a frantic way for Anna Jagodzinska. The Polish model walked more than 50 fashion shows for designers such as Alessandro Dell'Acqua, Chanel, Corso, Cynthia Rowley, Junko Shimada, Betsey Johnson, and Paul Smith amongst others. Besides, Anna landed on the cover of Vogue Germany and was chosen to star in H&M’s Spring ad campaign. However, when she already was one of the most successful models in the fashion industry, she made a controversial decision and decided to give up modeling and go back to Poland to finish her studies. Although her decision was deemed by some as a suicide, she returned in style in 2008 to walk for Donna Karan, Balenciaga, Chanel, Givenchy, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, andy Viktor & Rolf in New York and Paris. During her voluntary retirement, she hadn’t lost an inch of her natural beauty and style and, on top of that, she had learned a lot of Maths, Chemistry, History, and Physics. Magazines hadn’t forgotten Anna either and Vogue Great Britain, France, and Japan opened the doors wide to the Polish model.
