Russian fashion model Eugenia Volodina was born on September 17, 1984 in Kazan in the Russian region of Tatarstan and started her modeling career in 1998 when she attended an open casting organized by a Russian model agency. She didn’t manage to win the contest which I find really inexplicable. In 2000 Eugenia came to the attention of a Paris fashion agency and moved to Paris where she started to fend by herself in order to make herself a name in the highly competitive fashion industry. 2002 was an important year for Eugenia. The Russian model came to the attention of the great public when the famous photographer Steven Meisel made her a photo shoot for “Vogue” Italy. In the same year, Eugenia starred for the Gucci ad campaign alongside fellow Russian model Natalia Vodianova and opened and closed Gucci’s Fall Winter fashion show in Milan. Besides, the Russian model is the spokesperson of the lingerie brand Eres and as a curiosity we can say that she appeared in the renowned 2005 Pirelli calendar alongside fellow models Julia Stegner and Adriana Lima.
